Textures of Sound
The focus of this photo essay is that of the unique physical forms that music takes through technology. As an Audio Production and Film and Media Arts student, I frequently notice how audio and visual arts overlap. This influenced me to represent my view of the intersection between these fields in this photo essay. Each photo in its own way, as well as the essay in its totality, draws viewers to focus on rhythmic visual patterns found in audio technology. They are ordered in both a directional manner, based on each subject being photographed around the room going clockwise, as well as with lighting and tone in each image, with darker photos fading into blue-tinted photos, transitioning into blue cords with brighter lighting.
